Từ LibreOffice 3.5.2 trở đi, LibO đã import Visio file tốt hơn, vẽ được network map tốt hơn so với các bản LibO trước. Xem

The new symbols are designed to fit best to a line width of 0.02 cm and a marker width of 0.3 cm. LibreOffice hỗ trợ chuẩn quốc tế ODF 1.2, MSO 2010 không

Nói chính xác hơn, MSO 2010 chậm mất 3 năm, chưa kịp chuẩn quốc tế ODF 1.2 và mới chỉ hỗ trợ nhập tới ODF 1.1 là chức năng được thực thi bởi Microsoft từ năm 2009.

• LibreOffice 3.5 writes valid ODF 1.2
• Microsoft Office only officially supports ODF 1.1 and complains that ODF 1.2 and ODF 1.2 extended documents written by LibreOffice 3.5 are invalid.
• The warning from Microsoft Office can be safely ignored, and the "Repair" option will import the document.
• For users that find this annoying, a workaround is to open Tools->Options->Load/Save->General and set "ODF format version" to "1.0/1.1". However, please note that this will cause some information to be lost when storing documents.

Dùng PDF. Đừng dùng .doc khi gửi file đính kèm.

Tất nhiên PDF tốt hơn nhiều so với .doc khi gửi file đính kèm
- An toàn hơn
- Nhìn sao in vậy (.doc xem khác trên viewer, editor khác nhau (ngay cả với MS Office khác phiên bản))
- Vẫn edit được .pdf khi cần với LibreOffice
